Throughout 12 June 2019, several protesters participating in the protest against the extradition bill in Hong Kong were violently responded to by police who used tear gas, guns firing rubber bullets, pepper spray and baton charges to disperse the demonstration near government headquarters
On 9 May 2019, Chaos descended on the railway tracks near Kolkata in West Bengal as the family of a 27-year-old man with disabilities, who died in police custody, blocked rail lines demanding the arrest of those responsible. Gautam Mondal’s family was joined by locals and train passengers in the protest. Tyres were set on fire and trains grinded to a halt.

On May 20, police in Soc Son district, Hanoi, brutally beat Mrs. Dang Thi Hue and arrested her and five other drivers who came to Bac Thang Long-Noi Bai toll booth to protest its illegal collection of transport fee.
On 11 May 2019, police in the capital city of Hanoi violently suppressed a peaceful demonstration of around 20 drivers who protest the illegal collection of fee by the investor of the Thang Long- Noi Bai BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) project.
on May 2, 2019 a group of human rights defenders belonging to various civil society organisations including some concerned citizens of city of Hyderabad went to the office of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Examination (TSBIE) and asked permission to meet with theSecretaryof TSBIE. The police arrested the group of defenders from the venue of the Intermediate Board and detained them at Begumbazar Police Station.
On 17 April 2019, several protesters demonstrating against the establishment of illegal structures were responded to with violence and harassment by police.
