On 30 July 2019, Mai Hongsreang, Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) activist, was arrested marking the 14th such arrest of activists associated with the banned political party.
On 18 July 2019, Vice President Leni Robredo and several other human rights defenders, had a complaint filed against them alleging incitement to sedition.
On 10 July 2019, several defenders had an FIR filed against them for their role in writing and circulating a poem that explores the life experience of the people who are harassed in the National Register of Citizens process in Assam. Several of the defenders have also received threats to their life, threats of rape and other sexual assault.

On 12 July 2019, several defenders who were visiting Prison camp No. 6 to support the ongoing hunger strike of many prisoners of conscience in the camp were blocked from entering and physically assaulted.
On 8 July 2019, Shaikh Rizwan and Bashir Malik, journalists, were physically attacked.
On 4 July 2019, Gulalai Ismail, an award-winning woman human rights defender and co-founder of Aware Girls who has been forced into hiding following at least two First Information Reports (FIRs) being filed against her on 22 May and 23 May by police in Islamabad, had her home raided three times, with her relatives and driver being subject to intimidation, harassment and violence.
