On 30 July 2019, Mai Hongsreang, Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) activist, was arrested marking the 14th such arrest of activists associated with the banned political party.
On 22 July 2019, Cheng Yuan, Liu Yongze and Xiao Wu, all of whom are members of the public interest law NGO, Changsha Funeng, have been incommunicado.The three are being held by the state security police in Hunan’s provincial capital Changsha on suspicion of “subversion of state power,” according to a lawyer connected with the case.
On 4 July 2019, Gulalai Ismail, an award-winning woman human rights defender and co-founder of Aware Girls who has been forced into hiding following at least two First Information Reports (FIRs) being filed against her on 22 May and 23 May by police in Islamabad, had her home raided three times, with her relatives and driver being subject to intimidation, harassment and violence.
Cambodia: Authorities Detain Seven People for Marking Third Anniversary of Kem Ley’s death

Between 9 July and 10 July, seven HRDs were detained for expressing their condolences and support for murdered political commentator Kem Ley, while people marking the third anniversary of his killing at the site of his murder in Phnom Penh were surrounded by police.
On 2 July 2019, around 20 protesters on a mass street protest at plans to build a new waste incineration plant have been detained.

On 9 May 2019, the Thai Alliance for Human Rights (TAHR) has issued a statement that three political exiles have been arrested in Vietnam, and have now been handed over to the Thai authorities.
