The representatives from the recorder of this documentation personally interviewed Ms. Varsha Ashok Jawalgekar and it was revealed that her husband was particularly provoked and displeased by his wife's being an outspoken activist and defender. He would be irked whenever she would go on with her work. According to Ms. Varsha Ahok Jawalgekar, her husband and family would often tell her that she needs to "obey" her husband's wishes since this is "her role as a wife".
