No awkward incidents befell Chinese Premier Wen Jianbao when he visited Macau for the first time on Nov. 13: local authorities had already identified aggrieved Hong Kong investors and members of a Hong Kong rights group who had intended to hand-deliver a petition to the premier, stopped them at the border, and sent them back home. The five members of the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movement in China, and nine members of the Hong Kong (China) Investment Rights Concern Group, say that Macau officials are coordinating with the Chinese.
