India: Probe seeks into `manipulated’ video of Prof. Fathima Babu

On 28 November 2018, Prof. Fathima Babu, convenor of anti-Sterlite coalition, has been featured in a manipulated video has been circulated since two days, in the social media websites and platforms, which allegedly portrays her in a compromising position with her colleague Mr. Raja, who is also associated with the anti-Sterlite movement.
On 19 October 2018, Aadii Roy, who is well-known for his bold stance on injustices in society as well as government and military actions, shared that he had been threatened for exercising free speech.
On September 28 2018, Sister Bolanio, a executive director of the church-run Hesed Foundation in General Santos City who has been helping the tribal organization with its livelihood and development projects, was accused of being part of the Far South Mindanao Region rebel front.
On 8 August 2018, Nisha Ayub and Pang Khee Teik, LGBT activists, had photos of them posing with the Malaysian taken down from a photography exhibition at the George Town Festival (GTF) 2018 on “instruction”. They have also recieved threats online for their photos.

On 10 May 2018, LICADHO staff discovered a strange phenomenon when trying to access the Phnom Penh Post website. When visiting the site, a malicious code impersonating Google (misspelled Gooogle) attempted to trick users into granting full access to their Gmail inboxes to an unknown third party called GTransfers.
On 15 May 2018, Masrat Zahra, photojournalist and WHRD, was subject to online harrassment after uploading a picture of herself from a gun battle site online.
Since 22 April 2018, Rana Ayyub, journalist have recived large scale online threats and harassment.
